What use are clever tooling solutions if they are not economically viable or if the required precision cannot be achieved by the tool manufacturer? Guhring has the machines to suit any requirement. We use all current tool materials, from any high speed steel to carbide, from ceramic to diamond. We don't buy machines that don't completely satisfy our quality requirements. We prefer to design and build our own production equipment. And, in most cases, these are CNC-machines, as for example high-speed grinding machines for the production of flutes or deep-grinding machines for the machining of carbide tools. Or web thinning- and point grinding machines. Or special testing appliances etc.

We have our own coating plants. Consequently, we can control and optimise the manufacturing process, the flute configuration, the design of the point geometries etc. depending on the requirements of the coating. The quality of our coatings cannot be equalled.

At Guhring, production data can be traced back from the finished tool to the tool material originally supplied to us. Seperate storage of tool materials and semi-manufacturing items, batch coding and monitoring of all material has long been standard. Quality control is maximised by Guhring's systematic recording and error prevention practices.
