Together with VILAB, also a significant manufacturer of coatings, we developed the soft-coating MOVIC^®. It acts as a slide, i.e. lubrication non-stick coating for the chips, achieving especially interesting performance increases when insufficient lubrication and cooling conditions exist or dry machining is necessary. Generally, MOVIC^® reduces friction between tool and workpiece.

In order to utilise the advantages of MOVIC^® and FIREX, we have prouce a unique cutting point in the top-coat for MOVIC^®. Because FIREX plus MOVIC^® is the absolute kick! Tools with this coating combination achieve outstanding results (fig. 13) and will survive the hellish torments of the cutting process, found in dry high speed maching.
