| Range of applications |
High-performance drill for the drilling of carbon steels, structural and case hardened steels, unalloyed cast steels as well as heat-treatable steels with a tensile strength of up to approx. 850 N/mm˛. The specially conceived cutting point geometry produces a best possible chip fracture even with soft, long-chipping materials. Advantages, Suggestions Highest speed and feed rates possible (see Guroguide), high alignment accuracy with small diameter tolerance and excellent surface finish. Excellent self-centering qualities as well as producing short chips thanks to a concave cutting point geometry with special point grind and web thinning. Pre-conditions for use Powerful machines. No play in spindle bearings. Alignment accurate tool holders. Max. concentricity error of clamped tools: 0.02 mm. Chatterfree, mechanical feeds. The tools are available without whistle notch flat for the application in hydraulic chucks. |
