| Range of applications |
Standard drills for hard, crumbly materials such as brass, magnesium alloys, bronze, phosphor bronze, thin zamak and electron, slate, mica, pertinax. With a special point grind eventually suitable for insulating materials, ebonite, bakelite, galalithe, celluloid, synthetic resins, horn compounds, eternit, hardboard, perspex, plastic laminates and plexiglas. For drilling of eternit and hardboard with a modified point the direction of lamination is important to be considered i.e. for drilling at right angles to the laminations a point angle of 80-100º will give the best results. Otherwise, a point angle of 140º is recommended. |
